About Kris:
Born and bred in Brooklyn, Kris was exposed to her first full episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation at the age of 10, and it was all downhill from there (for the curious: Best of Both Worlds, Part 1). Her teenage years were spent at Stuyvesant High School, where many a conversation would revolve around Star Trek, Robert Heinlein, or Squaresoft. In college the interest in all that is geeky blossomed, with many a weekend spent completely absorbed in anime and video games. Kris eventually started attending anime cons, and has even camped on the street for Star Wars (twice!). Since college she's worked for a rather prominent brand management company, and written 10 video game strategy guides.
About the site:
This site finds its humble beginnings back in July 1997, when Kris had just finished reading the last issue of Cyberella and decided to make a tribute page. Every free minute Kris had from thereon found something new added to the site, the content usually dependent on whatever she was obsessed with for that week. DaVinci Syndrome notwithstanding, all of the sections have been reasonably maintained, with updates bimonthly or thereabouts. In 2002 Kris graduated college, started working more hours, which in turn left her with the time and money to buy a domain and space on a real server. So here it is.
