The subject known as Dubrin Zahn was an enigma when he had a 100,000 credit bounty placed on him, which was when he first came to my attention. To date, he is the only known "100K Club" member who was almost completely unknown at the time of the bounty placement within the "Guild Circle." Since that time, with the assistance of Mrae Urka, more information has been uncovered (or outright appropriated) although his full background may never be entirely known.

The start of the enigma is that Dubrin Zahn, while looking 19, is actually 152 years old. It sounds insane, but I know this to be true. After combing through one of the few intact Old Republic records databases for a more complete record upon the man, I found a person matching Dubrin Zahn's name, description and identification records during the period known as "The Cloaking Insurrection." Of course, when one knows what to search for the searching is all too easy....

While I knew of Zahn's involvement with the Kaeltyr incidents and the follow-ups, I now have more of the story. Records would seem to indicate that Zahn was born to a poor family within one of Coruscant's lower levels about 152 years ago. Very little is known about his family, save that Zahn was an only child and that his parents died when one of the lower level bridge-tunnels collapsed, plummeting them to their death many stories below. Zahn was 15 at the time and took to supporting himself within the depths of Coruscant. Not much more is known besides that, except that two years later he appeared at a Republic Defense Force recruitment center and enlisted. It was only through his application and subsequent psychological evaluation that even this brief information was known. Unsurprisingly, his profile was flagged "Mostly Sane; Possible Special Operative Training."

Further information would seem to indicate that Zahn, while not possessing a particularly moral character, has developed both a distinct personal code of honor and an intense dislike for Dark Jedi and Sith. Not only that, but he has proved surprisingly effective against them, even without any affinity for the Force. Perhaps he may not believe in "luck," but it certainly believes in him. To date, Zahn has been involved in the known death (either in whole or in part) of two Sith Lords, one Sith apprentice, four Dark Jedi and one planet.

Recent events have transpired to force my hand. Apparently, while negotiating a deal with one of the Sith Lords (whom he later killed), he fell in love with an operative named Diva Lyn. She, in turn, fell in love with him and aided his escape from the Sith Lord during the Second Battle of the Death Star. Recently, and stupidly, two lower members of the Bounty Hunter's Guild killed her while incapacitated, apparently motivated by revenge rather than profit (see: File 339674/5). Obviously these two Rodians were eliminated by the Guild, but I fear the damage has been done and Zahn will soon disappear or do something else equally rash. I suspect that the Guild is "number two with a blaster," behind only Lotar in incurring Zahn's wrath. Given Zahn's proclivities both for incredibly reckless behavior and escaping the said reckless behavior, I am not convinced at the Guild's survival especially given the unfortunate circumstances surrounding Boba Fett (see: File 339674/4). This would be unfortunate, especially given I may need the services of one or both of these separate parties in the future to come.

Interesting. It occurs to me that, given his personality, he may need to make a... hastier... and slightly more (shall we say) "messy" exit from his current contracts in order to exact his revenge. If I could find out from Urka where to send Zahn a message, he might be more amenable to my offer at that point. This could be fun...
