The records are unclear, but this is the summary of the missions leading to the loss of Navichan Juri, Dubrin Zahn, EmQuai, Jet, et. al. according to Old Republic Records:

Annotated by Lessat Dali in year 5 of the Sith Civil War (138 years after the events thus described).

The Jedi Council dispatched a mission to investigate the death of the Republic Negotiator Mar Alat (a Kel Dor) three weeks prior.

Upon arrival the Jedi-led delegation was greeted amiably, and shown to their quarters. They began investigation of the death of the negotiator immediately. They were introduced to some of the station's (Tyr Aurora [A Subjugator Class Arden Refining Station] in orbit around Kaeltyr, where the incident occurred) key personnel. Jet reported sensing the Dark Side in the Commander's office. As things progressed they found that Mar Alat frequented a nefarious Twi'lek massage parlor on the station. They obtained information from some of the parlor's personnel which led them to believe that the station command was involved in the death of the negotiator, and that it was not, in fact, an accident. Upon request, the investigators scheduled an appointment to see the docking bay where the incident occurred, and to have some of the new weapons systems on the station (designed by the Ortola Corporation) demonstrated for them. While wandering around the station the investigators reported an attack by Ubese agents, and also reported the deaths of those agents sent against them at their hands (Dubrin Zahn is said to have executed them after their capture).

Marking the beginning of a long history of rather questionable and controversial behavior. It seems rather illogical of the group to have tolerated this dangerous individual for so long.

Top Station Personnel were reported as follows:

  • Commander: Finra Orlo [Human female]
  • Sub-Commander: Lars Denoi [Human male] (Arden Company loyalist)
  • Security Chief: Eltyr Drat [male Faleen]

Personal Security team of Commander Orlo:

  • Dath Modon [male Human] (ex-Jedi Knight)
  • Alesha Tet-Modon [female Human] (religious leader on Kaeltyr, Dath Modon's wife)
  • Leto [m. Ubese], Regon [m. Ubese], and Tula [f. Ubese] (believed to be those killed by Dubrin Zahn)

Notes from the Council: Dath Modon was trained by the Jedi Master Tla-Lon (Kel Dor male). He left the order to marry Alesha Tet while on a mission from the Council to Kaeltyr to resolve the Gotal-Woostoid conflict.

The next day the investigators would report that they had been placed under a "Security Lockdown" during which the corridors of the station were patrolled by Arden Systems Security Drones (Arden Systems is another subsidiary of the Ortolean Corporation). During the lock-down the Arden Corporation attempted to cover up the incident by generating a glitch in the maintenance droid programs, causing the droids to repair the damaged docking bay. This was discovered as the investigators escaped the lockdown with the help of their pilot droid, RP-4.

While this was going on, the Counsel dispatched the Jedi Master Tla-Lon to aid the investigation. Master Lon was dispatched due to the seriousness of the last report received.

The investigators were forced to fight their way off the station, escaping in the Station Commander's personal craft, the SS Wandering Sun [Registry #6685309B]. On the way to the craft they discovered that parts of the station had been alchemically treated with a technique once used by the Sith. They encountered the primitive shaman Krussik at some point while on the station, who aided in their escape as well (Krussik would remain with them long afterwards). They also encountered Alesha Tet Modon, who revealed herself to be Darth Felonious, allegedly a Sith Lord (this was never and could not be confirmed). There was a brief battle, during which time the Republic RP-4 Droid was lost. The Investigators then escaped Tyr Aurora.

Master Tla-Lon arrives as the investigators are affecting their escape and is destroyed by the station's weaponry and fighter compliment. According to the report, the late Master Lon materialized and set the investigators on the path to the Temple at Aramasus.

Upon their arrival there, they were greeted by the Temple's populace. Master Yrmont reported that the investigators were pleasant guests, but worried about the future of the Jedi Jet. After discussing the situation, the Temple at Aramasus' leadership decided to summon the ex-Jedi turned bounty hunter, Lochkyl Tel'Arus, a former student of the Master in residency at the temple, Ander Dorr, who had trained and watched over him since he was brought to the Temple by the Duros [freighter] Captain Monis Teboo.

Notes from the Council: According to Master Dorr, Lochkyl was discovered by Captain Teboo of the Brightstar's Flame, as the lone survivor of a mysterious race of blue-skinned near-humans on a derelict ship in deep space.

The investigators were then given respite and invited to go to the nearby City of Elwaen. While in the city the investigators were guided by the Jedi Knights Kaya Sulan and Lyle Durat. They encountered a Herglic who was carrying Glitterstim, and arrested him before engaging in combat and a chase with agents of the gangster Torb Arz-Kezk. Success in arrests and obtaining the contraband were reported.

Here the record is sketchy. Apparently Lyle Durat, upon hearing of the involvement of his father's corporation in the investigation, went berserk and turned to the Dark Side after a fierce combat within the Wandering Sun. Kaya Sulan is also said to have turned dark, although some records indicate that it was at the provocation of the Jedi Jet, who also turned to the Dark Side in the conflict. The Wandering Sun was taken by the new Darksiders, and the investigators were stranded upon the planet.

Lochkyl is said to have arrived at some-point after this conflict in his childhood friend's ship, the Brightstar's Flame.

Notes from the Council: His childhood friend was the nephew of the Captain who discovered Lochkyl aboard the derelict, Ridlo Ninda. Ridlo was also Lochkyl's partner and friend from the time of his discovery, apparently having been on the Brightstar's Flame at the time of Lochkyl's discovery.

During this period Dubrin Zahn is reported to have snuck off and made a deal of some kind with the gangster Torb Arz-Kezk, the nature of which is unknown.

Notes from the Council: It would have been advisable to keep an eye on Zahn, and possibly terminated his contract as his behavior included the criminal acts of murder and dealings with known criminals. It is unknown why Jet did not do this.

This statement is flawed, as it should be pointed out that Jet was a) not with the party at this time and b) given his current disposition, would not be inclined to curb Zahn's actions in any way.

Lochkyl is reported to have left with the investigators and Master Ander Dorr aboard the Brightstar's Flame, to the Ortolean System on a hunch that Lyle Durat might head there, and that his capture might lead to these alleged Sith.

Upon arrival in the Ortolean system the investigators initiated their investigation at the Ortolean Corporation's headquarters. The investigation would lead to the death of Master Dorr at the hands of Sith War Droids, apparently led by Kaya Sulan. It would also lead to the deaths of Lochkyl and Lyle Durat at each other's hands (though there are reports that Zahn may have executed Lyle Durat), and the death of Kaya Sulan at the hands of Dubrin Zahn, apparently shot in the back while attempting an escape. It would be revealed that Kaya, Lyle, and Jet were there to steal the Ortolean Shipyard (one of the construction slips).

Here the records are remarkably fuzzy. It is known that a young Jedi Padawan, Aeon Durat (Lyle's cousin), would hide aboard the ship transporting one of Jet's old friends, another Jedi of the Farghul race, to the Ortolean System to assist in the clean-up operations there. They did arrive, and Aeon Durat would be discovered. It is also reported that the Ortolean Oligarchy would be successfully arrested (this event may have occurred after Navichan and Dral's dispatch), brought back to Coruscant, and put on trial for their acts and those of the Arden Mining Corporation.

Master Juri points out an error in the chronology here. The arrest of the Ortolean Oligarchy was after the theft of the Ortolean Shipyards, as she was present for the former and not the latter. It is unclear why my master did not remain with the group at this time.

The investigators would then go to the shipyards, and encounter Dath Modon, Alesha Tet Modon, and a slew of Massassi warriors (thought extinct 4000 years prior). Aeon Durat would be captured by Alesha, and the Farghul Jedi would perish, but Krussik (the primitive), would convert Jet back to the Light Side of the Force, and the investigators, including Aeon, would escape. Also, due to his acts of bravery and experience, Aeon would be made a Jedi Knight soon after that. It is also known that the party would re-obtain the Wandering Sun, and nearly kill Dath Modon by somehow vaccing him into space... but he would survive, and the shipyard be stolen.

Information given by Jet would indicate that an alleged Sith Master Darth Atross, apparently Finra Orlo, was cloning Massassi from DNA found in the temples of Xyn. She had a Sith Holocron (probably not true Sith but a darksider who found a holocron and called herself Sith), and was building Sith war cruisers and droids from its information. Due to the seriousness of this report, the Republic would dispatch a fleet to deal with the rising problem. The Jedi Knight Navichan Juri, and the cyborg Lieutenant Dral Tolan, would be among those dispatched with the fleet.

It is unclear to me what the difference is between a "true" and a "false" Sith is. Master Juri indicates that it is defined by ancient Sith tradition, in terms of an unbroken chain of Sith masters and their apprentices. Given that all those with connections to the Force are ultimately defined by their actions, and considering the proliferation of the Sith in our own time, this reasoning seems flawed. This bears further investigation.

    Ships of the Fleet:
RSS Majestic (Corellian Space Cruiser), Jedi Starfighters (White Cloaks), RSS Prime Defender (Dreadnaught), and the RSS Starsaber (Corellian Gunship). All under the command of Admiral Rizo De Montarus (Human).

Again, the record is fuzzy, but it would be reported that Aramasus was under attack by the forces led by Dath Modon. The fleet and the investigators were at Ortola. They would race there but to no effect. The temple was destroyed, and the 30-odd Jedi there were dead. There were reports of Jet collecting the lightsabers of the fallen, and the Mastercrafted lightsaber of the Master Yrmont would never be found, however, the investigators did find a Jedi Holocron and an old Jedi ship from millennia ago. Somehow the investigators would know that Dath had retreated after his attack to the planet Kaeltyr (possibly from information given by the gangster Torb Arz-Kezk through Dubrin Zahn). At this time Ridlo Ninda is believed to have gone his own way aboard the Brightstar's Flame. The investigators would christen the new ship the Pride of Aramasus, and would take off after Dath Modon.

Once on Kaeltyr, they would land at the capital spaceport of Tyr Arden. There they would start their search for Dath Modon, encountering the Cult of Tet (an evil darksider cult led by Alesha Tet Modon), who would attempt to capture them and kill them. A grand battle would occur in the Cult's grand cathedral in the capital city. Again, the investigators would be victorious, and would capture one of the cultists, while others would escape. It would be discovered that Dath Modon had a base out in the wastelands on the other side of the planet. With a Gotal guide, they would be led out there. The fleet is called in but is 5 days out from Kaeltyr.

It was at this point that Lt. Tolan and Master Juri officially joined the group.

The investigators then moved out to investigate Dath Modon's base. Finding themselves vastly overwhelmed by Dath's forces, Dubrin Zahn, Krussik, Dral, and Aeon Durat are captured, while Navichan, Emquai, and Jet escaped. Zahn, Krussik, Dral, and Aeon were carbon-frozen and taken to Xyn. It is understood that at Xyn, Zahn, Aeon, and Krussik were defrosted and experimented on by Alesha and/or Finra Orlo and modified via Sith Alchemy. Aeon died during this process, though Zahn and Krussik survived.

Master Juri notes that during the arrest of the Ortolean Oligarchy Jet was on his best behavior, but beginning with the operation on Kaeltyr he began to slip back into questionable territory. The mission to Dath Modon's base was meant to be an investigative stealth operation, a mission Jet destroyed by charging in and accidentally alerting the enemy. He is also partially responsible for crashing the ship and the subsequent capture of the group. Additionally, my master claims that he lied to his master regarding his possession of a second lightsaber.

Navichan Juri and the fleet would arrive in the Xyn system and effect a rescue attempt and confrontation with the alleged Sith. A huge battle would ensue, during which time Zahn and Krussik would escape their bondage, and destroy the Sith Holocron. The Jedi Jet was reported to have killed, unnecessarily, Massassi technicians (why didn't the Council reign in Jet for re-education?), and he is reported to have killed Dath Modon using the dubious methodology of shooting him with a starfighter cannon while he was involved in a duel with Navichan Juri. During the battle the main Sith warcruiser and the Subjugator Tyr Aurora were to engage the fleet and be destroyed. The record is unclear, but it is certain that Xyn was somehow destroyed, and the explosion destroyed both Tyr Aurora, and the Sith Warcruiser along with severely damaging the fleet. Miraculously, the investigators survived and escaped.

Master Navichan reports that action was meant to be taken regarding Jet when the group returned to Coruscant. This was also when she obtained the rank of Knight.

Due to the level of destruction, not much evidence of what had gone on remained. So it could not be confirmed or denied that the Sith had indeed risen and fallen.

What is known is that on the return journey the Pride of Aramasus, along with the entire investigative team, would be lost. These heroes of the Republic will be remembered, and Navichan, Jet, and Aeon will be recorded in the Hall of the Jedi...
