Given the recent events, I have decided that it is not safe to leave my wife and child easily exposed to another attack by Imperial forces. In addition, with Ertai as my responsibility now, I have the additional concerns of raising a adopted son with a connection to the Force.
With this in mind, my family is to be moved from our current bases to an undisclosed location. I will take the Excel, Captain Kovach's ship, with me as an alternate. Access codes are under my control, and specifications are attached. If Captain Kovach does return, please inform me as soon as possible, and I will arrange to have her ship cleaned, polished, and returned completely to her control.
This should affect many of you, as I know that Krussik has been training my daughter, and Kalita seems quite attached to her as well. Tempus has been less of an issue, as he hasn't displayed any connection to the Force as of yet. I anticipate that this will change, as per Millennia the Elder's estimates, within the next year or two, although we know that the future is clearly in constant motion.
Without a Jedi to train the children, and without an attachment to their friends, I fear for their safety and psychological well-being in the long run. However, unless I come up with, or hear of an alternative, I have no choice but to keep them safe.
I understand the dedication of the Jedi, the Rangers, and the Consortium to restoring peace and order to the Galaxy, but I am a father first, and a soldier second. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and wish you all the best of luck.

Look. Bounty hunters are tricky individuals. The Sojourners tracked us all the way to Odevron to capture Zahn, and later to Endor to capture Darn. These weren't public missions, in fact, they were supposed to be covert, right? But the bounty hunters found us anyway. And it only took, what, three days for that woman to catch up with you on Malastare? One little slip-up is all it took.
I don't think your family would be completely safe. They'd track you down, which would put your family as risk. Or worse, should you separate from your family to prevent this, some unscrupulous hunters might track them down anyway and use them against you. Do you really want your wife and children to be pawns?
If you want them to be safe, they do need someone to protect them. I know your concerns over their presence at the temple are connected to the fact that yes, we could be attacked and destroyed. Daedon could be looking for us. But I don't let that deter me from remaining here. A ship could come and destroy us? They'd have to get past planetary defenses first, and then know where to go on the planet. I would think we'd have enough time to evacuate the temple. At that point it would become impossible to find us. And survival in the desert is possible.
But that's a worst case scenario. Despite that, I can't keep running or hiding. That's no way to live, and eventually our enemies would catch up anyway. So for the time being, I am satisfied with having a comfortable place to live where I can raise my family. I would have hoped that you could have seen that, and agreed.
Having your children here at the temple has been a delight, and I think it has been good for them as well. You are right in your assessment that they could be harmed by any sort of... isolation you put them through for the sake of safety. Please consider the quality of their lives before you take any action. Is this what they want, really? What has your wife said about all this?
