Dear Museum Curator:
Recently your museum was the victim of an incident that resulted in some extreme property damage and the loss of some rare artifacts. As participants in this destructive dispute we would like to extend our deepest apologies, as well as in some way make up for the mistakes committed that day. Your account should have received a sum sufficient enough to cover the cost of replacing the security door and display cases destroyed in the incident, as well as paying for all necessary repairs and redecoration. Please put these funds to use as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, money cannot replace the artifacts lost that day, nor can they be returned. Thus do we send this package to you. Inside you will find rare artifacts that we believe will make an excellent addition to your museum's collection. We do not intend this to be an equal exchange or mean to trivialize your loss, but we think these items are worthy of study and will be valuable assets to your fine institution. Your museum provides a wonderful public service and we do not wish to be a hinderance of any sort. Please accept our condolences for all the inconvenience we have caused you.
